New Journey - Fitness and Hardcore event *Tribe Carnival 2k17*

Hello beautiful people

So it's that time again in Trinidad... band launch season for Carnival 2k17 and I finally decided to engage in such activities. Tribe band launch ....hmmm they get better every year and I am impressed with the designs and color schemes chosen for 2k17. I reviewed several bands and my final decision is Tribe and the two sections in mind are Cardinal and Reef because I absolutely love the color and design.

I am a curvy girl so because of the choice of costume hardcore gym and the actual hardcore event in Trinidad. So feel free to follow my weight loss and fitness journey. This is not just a journey for Carnival but I have also made a conscious effort to make this a personal lifestyle change. I will be trying new products, exercises, gym gear and much more.

Stay tuned for the launch of this journey starting September 01, 2016. IT IS GOING TO BE VERY EXCITING.

Hello beautiful people,

For the last couple months I have been really stressed out, running on less than 4 hours sleep some days, trying to be academically successful and a entrepreneur at the same time plus many other things that add to my daily lifestyle with stress.

This post is dedicated to the one person who has always been there for me and always supported me. She is my rock, she is my mother the woman who I would consider my best friend. Words cannot explain how grateful I am to have been blessed with a mother like her for the last 29 years. She understands me, she loves me unconditionally, always makes sure her one and only daughter is happy NOT spoilt but happy, she never judge me and I can go on and on.

Who said life is going to be easy .... with all the stress I am experiencing she did such a kind gesture today and this made me so emotional to know someone understands you that well and what you are going through. I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for my mother, my rock, my queen.

So while having a bad day and bad months I was surprised with this: (1 DOZEN RED ROSES with a special note stating "Always remember you don't get to chose who you lose in life, I am proud of you and who you have become and destine to be. Regardless of what you are going through and how stressed you are your mother will always love you unconditionally, continue to shine and have a blessed day, Love Mom"

I asked the delivery guy if he was certain this is for me and he was certain called me by my full name.

So with this being said - Thank you mom for making my day so special and starting my month extra special as well as ending the last couple days of being in my twenties special.

Perfect day for Down d Islands

The perfect day to relax, have fun and enjoy great company..

Down d Islands is definitely one of my favourite places to be. My first time here was unforgettable and memorable that it seems like just yesterday. I had so much fun and it is also so serene because it takes you away from that busy city life.

I am very thankful for experiencing such an amazing place with amazing people. What made this experience for me truly amazing was watching set and then while in the water literally counting 1,2,3 and BOOM the sun disappears ... writing about it brings joy, smiles and excitement in my heart that I wish each one of you can experience as well.

Dinner Date at Krave Restaurant

My first experience at Krave is one night I will never forget.

My first visit at Krave Restaurant in Marabella was when they recently launched and it was very special. The customer service was impeccable, the ambiance was amazing and the food delicious.
What captivated my attention was the excitement of the decor and ambience of this restaurant. Pops of bright orange flatter crystals and chain mail, wood warms it up and the window wall let's enough light in to compliment everything that glitters. From my experience I would recommend this restaurant and it is even more romantic when you go with you significant other.

That first night was magical so I hope you share the same experience.

Pink Obsession - Tom Ford lipsticks

The texture of these lipsticks are so creamy that I had to get this filled with only pink Tom Ford lipsticks. I LOVE PINK to the pint where its an overdose of pink in most of my collections. These lipsticks are pricey but we all know high end designers cost high prices, but I love it so I decided to share my obsession with you guys as I received my last two lipsticks to complete this tray of lipsticks.

A Perfume every sophisticated confident woman must have

I was recently gifted this and in my opinion No. 1 from Clive Christian is the best perfume I have ever owned. The scent is unique and it's silage is enormous it lasts 12 hours minimum in my skin as its very potent.  I get so many compliments when I wear this particular fragrance, its a sophisticated scent that I wear with confidence and it acts as a magnet because both male and female always stop me and ask me what I am wearing. Ideally, I think it works well with my body chemistry.

Therefore, I would recommend that you test it before purchasing because this is not the regular $100US bottle of perfume. This is a fragrance that is rich and comes from a luxurious line or pure perfume.

Finally!!

I finally got my hands on this these kits from Kylie cosmetics. I ordered Mary Jo K and Like lip-gloss for my first attempts. Mary Jo K is somewhat like a Ferrari fire red and like lip gloss and very neutral, its the darkest shade in the glosses.

The shades are perfect, they are bright and I believe its suitable for all skin tones. Personally, I found it quite flattering on my skin tone. We all know there are a lot of dupes for the Kylie cosmetics shades that are currently available however, the formula is completely different. Kylie cosmetics is thick, creamy, pigmented and the scent o my its amazing.

The only problem I experienced with the matte lipstick and lip gloss is the matte tend to flake like any other matte lipstick. Other than that the coverage is amazing and the staying power on your lips is also good, so I would recommend these lip kits for those who are considering.

It’s that time of year again, I slay in my favorite shades and decks them out for an all-out special edition adaptation. 

A series that highlights the silhouettes’ design with unique craft for every face, it is a must have.  Vacation sunglasses always add value to your outfit of the day and I have been obsessed with sunglasses lately. I have over 30 pairs of sunglasses from high end designers to cost effective sunglasses that I love. 

Mirrored aviators .... I have them in every possible color,shape and size and I continue to add to my collection. If you have an obsession for mirrored aviators then you would love my "go to" for this year.

Favorite Foundations

Those who know me know how excited I am to try a new foundation on the market and they always say "you really brave". These are my favorite foundations currently and and I have tested and worn each one of them.

Let's begin, here goes:

L'oreal Pro Matte Infallible 

My everyday go to, gym, work etc

Coverfx Natural finish

 (This bad boy is the bomb... love it)

Water - based liquid foundation with medium coverage, it can be built up t get a flawless soft and dewy look. Trust me you would not regret it.

Becca Ultimate Coverage 

(Coverage magic)

Who say coverage baby..... when in the mood for a full coverage look this is my go to. This foundation is breathable and you don't need to use a lot to get coverage.

Nars All Day Luminous 

I have combination skin but I love a dewy look now. However to avoid looking like you "frying bake" lol I prime my skin with two primers. This shows the luminous effect of the foundation.

Dose of Colors Review

The hype about matte liquid lipsticks.......

I can honestly say that I have tried every formula under the sun and I can officially say my love for lipstick, lipgloss and makeup in general in indescribable.  My absolute favorite lip products are lip stains (matte lipsticks).  There is just something about a no fuss, long wearing product that just does it for me.  It’s probably because I’m always on the go and cannot be bothered with constantly touching up my lips. 

I am a product junky and I am always interested in trying new products because I am a risk taker.  Couple days ago I added a few to my collection from Dose of Colors.  This company currently offers  lipsticks (matte and non-matte), lip glosses, highlighters, eyeshadows and lashes. They are cruelty free and vegan which I absolutely love.

My recent purchase includes:

1. Kiss of Fire Liquid lipstick 
2. Coral Crush Liquid Lipstick 
3. Cotton Candy Lipgloss
4. Sorbet Lipstick 

What I love most about these liquid matte/gloss lipsticks is that the formula applies smoothly, its long lasting, its literally STAINS, the color is highly pigmented and it wears comfortably.  It's a must have for makeup addicts so if you don't have this to your collection, jump right into it.

Black Dress Slayy

The perfect attitude, confidence and the right amount of sass gets the attention.

This dress is beyond perfection and fits my curvy Caribbean girl body like a glove.

I slay my outfits from swimwear, skirts and dresses I rock it ever so fashionably!!! I mean, whether you are headed on vacation, hanging with the girls, or headed out to a special event always dress to impress. It is always better to over dress than under dress.

Friday Workflow

Hello Beautiful People .........it's FRIDAY !!!

While most of you are excited for the weekend to socialize and relax my ultimate goal is focusing on building my empire. As a young Entrepreneur, an MBA student and employee it takes hard work, dedication and commitment to achieve your desired goals in life. Although some people assume you get everything easy, it's because they really don't know the background of a strong independent woman. It's a common slang in Trinidad to say "the struggle is real" and I have learnt that nothing comes easy. So I always advise young adults and children who admire me to work hard, dream big and live life to the fullest.

 

It's going to be a late night and I must have my essentials for the grind -  MacBook pro, Louis Vuitton Damier handbag and my recently gifted Mont Blanc pen.

My Undergarment Secret ......shhhhhhhhhh

Everyone always ask what intimate apparel I wear under my dresses and what designer bras I love because it appears so seamless. Well ladies, the trick to a seamless look “Assets mid thigh shaper” and the "Spot on Slimmer's" this is incredible and works wonders under sheer dresses or those extremely stretchy dresses that tend to show every detail of your body. You make me GLOW

We all know this is what all makeup gurus hype about now. HIGHLIGHTER / ILLUMINATOR

I love the look you get with a highlighter applied on your cheekbone, the glow makes your photos look on point every time. It’s now my favourite product even though I don’t wear it every day. I loved having a matte finish face back in the days but now I'm obsessed with that soft golden glow.

My favourite highlighters are Estee Lauder – “Heat Wave” (Limited Edition) this is the BOMB, my go to, a MUST HAVE, can’t live without this highlighter. “Heat Wave” is highly pigmented and makes you glow like a disco ball. Another favourite is MAC Gold Deposit, I wore this everyday as this was my first highlighter and I still love it. On my skin tone it looks like 24k gold, so for persons my skin tone I would definitely recommend this highlighter.

My new addition to my collection is BECCA and I love love love love this product. This shimmering skin perfector is to die for, I am yet to try the new Jaclyn Hill collaboration but as soon as I do I will update you guys.

BE CONFIDENT AND LOVE YOURSELF

It is important for us to take care of our self internally and externally. Whether it's going to the gym, exercising from home, eating healthy, drinking lots of water or using skincare products. 

From my experience I believe that one should fall in love with your own company and make yourself your priority which helps boost your confidence and accept who you are. 

I love to go to the gym but I will be honest I'm not a consistent gym member, one thing I do love is SPIN class. This form of exercise relieves stress, makes me happy and smile hearing the music loudly in the spin room, the excitement is intense not to mention the gym gear that I am so eager to wear now.

My current favourite brands are Nike, Puma and the funky trendy Brazilian fitness gear. What's in my closet now are my go to items for gym/spin class....
